アヤクチョカンムリカナステロはペルーのアヤクチョ地方の高山アンデス低木地に生息する小型のカマドドリ科鳥類で、体重約19.9g、翼開長11.5cm。細長い棘状の尾を持ち、密なポリレピスと低木植生をぬって昆虫を探して採食する。ペルー中央アンデスの限られた分布域にちなんで命名された。
