Pink-footed Goose
Dark brown head and neck. Back grayish-brown; underparts pale gray. Diagnostic pink feet and pink-banded dark bill. Pale blue-gray forewing in flight. Compact and round-headed. Sexes similar.
Brent Goose
Small; mostly black head, neck, and breast. Small white neck-patch on adults. Back dark brownish-gray; belly pale gray to white depending on subspecies. White undertail coverts. Sexes similar.

ピンクフットグースはグリーンランドとスバールバル諸島に繁殖し、ヨーロッパ北西部で越冬するガンです。ピンク色の脚と短い嘴が特徴的です。農地、湿地、草地に生息し、農作物の落穂や草を採食します。冬季には大群で農地に降りることで農家と軋轢を生じます。
