About These Birds
Black-browed Tit
The Black-browed Tit is a tiny, long-tailed tit endemic to the mountains of southwestern China in Yunnan and Sichuan, with a distinctive black eyebrow stripe, white cheeks, and buffy-pink underparts. It inhabits temperate forests of oak, bamboo, and rhododendron at moderate to high elevations. It is highly active and social, foraging in small parties and often joining mixed-species flocks.

ヨーロッパからアジアにかけて広く分布する小型の鳥（体長13〜15cm、尾の長さが約8cm）。黒・白・ピンクの美しい羽色と長い尾が特徴的。Aegithalos caudatus（エナガ）は球形の精巧な巣を作ることで知られ、非繁殖期には家族群で行動する。日本でも人気の高い野鳥の一つ。Aegithalidae科。
