オーストラリア全土とニューギニアに分布する小〜中型のタカ（体長30〜36cm）。主に小型の鳥類を捕食し、森林から農地まで様々な環境に適応する。雄は上面が灰色、下面に赤褐色の縦縞。Accipiter cirrocephalus（コリンハウタカ）はオーストラリアで最もよく見られるタカ類の一つ。Accipitridae科。

It inhabits humid lowland tropical forests of Amazonia, occurring in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and adjacent countries. It hunts reptiles, frogs, large insects, and small mammals in forest interior and along rivers.
