Picathartidae

Rockfowl; 2 species endemic to West and Central Africa—the White-necked and Grey-necked Rockfowl. Odd, long-legged birds with bare colorful head skin (yellow, red, or blue). Nest in colonies on vertical rock faces in rainforest. Considered near-mythical birds and sacred by some local peoples.
