Rock-jumpers; 2 species endemic to South Africa and Lesotho, inhabiting rocky mountain slopes. Bold, agile birds that leap between boulders with extraordinary speed. Black-and-white males with rufous belly. Restricted to narrow altitudinal bands on mountain tops. Threatened by climate change.
