About These Birds

Black-eared Shrike-babbler

The Black-eared Shrike-babbler is a compact, colorful bird with rich chestnut wings, gray upperparts, a black facial mask, and yellowish-white underparts. It inhabits subtropical and tropical moist mountain forests from the eastern Himalayas through Southeast Asia to Sumatra. It forages deliberately through the forest midstory, searching bark and foliage for insects and small arthropods.
