Black-backed Cisticola

The Black-backed Cisticola is a small, grassland-dwelling warbler found in the damp grassy areas and wetland margins of West and Central Africa. It has a black back with buff streaking and warm rufous tones on the head and wings. It perches atop grass stems, singing persistently, and feeds on insects and small seeds.

Ashy Prinia

The Ashy Prinia is a common small warbler found across South Asia from Pakistan to Myanmar, inhabiting grasslands, scrub, and gardens. Weighing about 8g with a wingspan near 9.9cm, it has ashy-grey plumage and a characteristically long tail often held cocked upright. It feeds on insects and is a familiar garden bird.
