The Australasian Figbird is a gregarious, medium-sized oriole found in rainforest edges and urban parks across northern and eastern Australia and New Guinea. Weighing about 121.5g with a wingspan of 29.4cm, the male has a bright red bare facial patch and olive-green plumage. It feeds heavily on figs and soft fruits in the forest canopy.
