The Arabian Green Bee-eater is a slender, colorful bee-eater from the Arabian Peninsula and adjacent regions, weighing about 17.5 grams with a wingspan near 18 cm. It sports vivid green plumage with a blue forehead and a distinctive black eye-stripe, catching bees and other flying insects with aerial sallies from exposed perches. It nests colonially in sandy banks and flat ground burrows.
