Talaud Rail (Gymnocrex talaudensis) is a poorly-known rail endemic to the Talaud Islands in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia. Similar to Blue-faced Rail; brown above with some rufous tones; bare facial skin. Inhabits forest and scrub on small islands. Known from very few specimens.
Guadalcanal Rail
Guadalcanal Rail (Hypotaenidia woodfordi), 28 cm. Brown with barred underparts; red eye and bill. Endemic to Guadalcanal and Malaita, Solomon Islands. Inhabits grassland, marsh edges and agricultural land. Omnivore. Least Concern; common within its Solomon Islands range.
