Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Zebra Dove

Small dove, 20–23 cm, finely barred brown and grey all over with a small blue-grey face and a long slender tail. Native to Southeast Asia and Indonesia; widely introduced to Hawaii, Tanzania, and elsewhere. Inhabits open scrub, gardens, and paddy fields. Granivore of tiny seeds and millet. Least Concern.
