Violaceous Coucal (Centropus violaceus) — 45–50 cm. Entirely deep blue-violet with a glossy sheen; long graduated tail; heavy black bill. Endemic to Manus Island and Admiralty Islands, Papua New Guinea. Inhabits forest and secondary growth. Non-parasitic. Omnivore.
