The Agami Heron is a near-threatened, strikingly patterned wading bird with a wingspan of about 55 cm and a weight of around 528 g. It inhabits shaded forest streams and swampy areas in Central and South America, where it stands motionless before striking with its exceptionally long, sharp bill.

The White-crested Tiger-Heron (Tigriornis leucolopha) is a medium-large heron of the family Ardeidae and the sole member of its genus. It is a secretive and poorly known bird of West and Central African rainforests, inhabiting dense lowland forest along streams and rivers.
