The Fasciated Tiger-Heron (Tigrisoma fasciatum) is the smallest and most montane member of the tiger-heron genus Tigrisoma, belonging to the family Ardeidae. Adults show the characteristic tiger-patterned plumage of the genus: finely vermiculated or barred dark brown, gray, and black on the upperparts, neck, and breast, creating intricate cryptic patterning.
