Flame-breasted Fruit-dove (Ramphiculus marchei), 28 cm. Brilliant orange-red breast contrasts with green upperparts; endemic to the Philippines, found on Luzon and Polillo. Inhabits primary lowland and montane forest up to 1,800 m. Frugivore. Vulnerable due to severe Philippine deforestation.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
