Small-medium pigeon, 26–28 cm, uniformly dark sooty-brown with faint iridescent green on the neck. Restricted to humid Pacific-slope forests from Panama to northwest Ecuador. Frugivore of forest fruits. Poorly known and infrequently observed. Least Concern but potentially declining due to deforestation.
