The Abyssinian Wheatear is a passerine weighing about 25g found on rocky slopes across the Horn of Africa. Its dark plumage with a contrasting white rump is typical of the wheatear family.

Atlas Wheatear

The Atlas Wheatear is a small chat found in rocky hillsides and arid uplands in northwest Africa. Weighing about 30g with a wingspan of 19cm, the male has distinctive black-and-white markings. It is a ground-foraging insectivore that characteristically bobs and flicks its tail while perching on rocks.
