Marbled Godwit
Marbled Godwit: 40–51 cm, large warm-buff godwit with barred underparts, slightly upturned bicolor bill, and cinnamon wing-linings. Breeds on northern Great Plains of North America near prairie lakes; winters on mudflats and estuaries along both US coasts and Gulf of Mexico. Feeds on worms, crabs, and aquatic invertebrates.
Sulawesi Woodcock
Sulawesi Woodcock: 32–36 cm, woodcock endemic to montane forest of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Nocturnal with cryptic brown plumage. Inhabits mossy forest above 1,000 m; probes leaf litter and soft soil for invertebrates. NT. Threatened by logging and agricultural conversion of highland forest. Sedentary island endemic.
