New Zealand Pigeon / Kereru (Hemiphaga novaeseelandiae), 51 cm. Large and robust; iridescent green-and-bronze upperparts, white underparts. Endemic to New Zealand and the Kermadec Islands. Inhabits native forest. Sole disperser of large-seeded native trees (e.g. karaka, miro). Frugivore. Least Concern but protected.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
