Talaud Rail
Talaud Rail (Gymnocrex talaudensis) is a poorly-known rail endemic to the Talaud Islands in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia. Similar to Blue-faced Rail; brown above with some rufous tones; bare facial skin. Inhabits forest and scrub on small islands. Known from very few specimens.
King Rail
King Rail (Rallus elegans), 43 cm. Largest Nearctic rail; brown above with a rufous breast and barred flanks; long orange-red bill. Inhabits freshwater and brackish marshes in eastern North America. Omnivore: crayfish, frogs and insects. Near Threatened; declining with wetland loss.
