Dark-backed Imperial-pigeon (Ducula lacernulata), 40 cm. Very dark metallic green-black above with a contrasting white head and underparts. Endemic to Java and the Lesser Sundas, Indonesia. Inhabits montane forest above 700 m. Frugivore. Near Threatened; restricted montane habitat in heavily deforested Java.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
