Ryukyu Woodpigeon (Columba jouyi) — ~45 cm. Extinct. Inhabited the Ryukyu Islands of Japan. Dark iridescent plumage with a white collar; related to Japanese Woodpigeon. Last confirmed record in the early 20th century. Extinct due to deforestation and hunting pressure.
