Least Sandpiper: 13–15 cm, North America's smallest shorebird with yellowish legs (unique among small Calidris), brown upperparts, and streaked breast. Breeds on Arctic and subarctic tundra and boreal bogs across North America; winters from the southern US to northern South America. Feeds on invertebrates in muddy margins.
Sulawesi Woodcock
Sulawesi Woodcock: 32–36 cm, woodcock endemic to montane forest of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Nocturnal with cryptic brown plumage. Inhabits mossy forest above 1,000 m; probes leaf litter and soft soil for invertebrates. NT. Threatened by logging and agricultural conversion of highland forest. Sedentary island endemic.
