A medium-sized hermit hummingbird (13-15 cm) found in humid lowland forests from Venezuela through Amazonia to Bolivia. Green plumage with a notably straight bill, unusual among hermits. Nectarivore of forest undergrowth. Named after the French naturalist Jules Bourcier.
