Oxyruncidae

Sharpbill; a monotypic family containing only the Sharpbill, a small, wren-sized bird of humid tropical forest from Costa Rica to Paraguay. Named for its sharp, pointed bill used to extract insects from plant surfaces. Plumage olive with spotted underparts. Long considered of uncertain affinities.
