The Barka Indigobird is a small brood-parasitic finch of the family Viduidae found in savanna and open woodland of West Africa. Weighing about 13g with a wingspan of 13cm, the male in breeding plumage displays iridescent blue-black plumage with a white bill. It parasitizes the nests of specific firefinch hosts, mimicking their songs and egg patterns.
