Ashy-faced Owl

The Ashy-faced Owl is a barn owl species endemic to Hispaniola and Tortue Island in the Caribbean. Weighing about 400g with a wingspan near 50cm, it has a pale ashy-grey facial disc that distinguishes it from the common barn owl. It hunts small mammals and birds in open habitats at night.
