Little Buttonquail (Turnix velox) is a tiny 12–15 cm buttonquail endemic to Australia. Pale sandy-brown with fine dark streaking; white eye; swift runner. Inhabits open dry grasslands, gibber plains, and mulga scrub across arid interior Australia. Highly nomadic, following rainfall. The smallest Australian buttonquail. Polyandrous.

Inhabits open grassland and scrub habitats on Luzon. Rarely recorded; considered Data Deficient by IUCN due to very few known specimens and sightings.
