The Black-headed Trogon is a medium-sized, brilliant trogon with a glossy black head, vivid blue-green upperparts, and a golden-yellow belly with a white breast band. It inhabits humid lowland forests, forest edges, and gallery forest from Mexico through Central America to northwestern Colombia.
