Mariana Fruit-dove
Mariana Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus roseicapilla), 23 cm. Vivid green body, rose-red cap and white to pale yellow underparts; endemic to the Mariana Islands. Inhabits native limestone forest. Frugivore. Endangered; extirpated from Guam by invasive brown treesnakes and now restricted to northern Mariana islands.
Adamawa Turtle-dove
Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
