The Banded Prinia is a small warbler-like bird of the family Cisticolidae found in forest edges and dense undergrowth in Central Africa. Weighing about 13.3g with a wingspan of 10.8cm, it has barred flanks and a long tail. Like other prinias, it forages actively through low vegetation for insects.
Black-chested Prinia
The Black-chested Prinia is a small, warbler-like bird of sub-Saharan southern Africa, with a distinctive black breast band in breeding plumage, grey upperparts, and whitish underparts. It inhabits dry thorn scrub, open woodland, and grassland with scattered bushes in Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and adjacent countries. It feeds on small insects and spiders, gleaning them from foliage.
