Mongolian Gull

Mongolian Gull, 55–65 cm, breeds at high-altitude lakes in Mongolia and winters on coasts of China, Korea, and Japan. Pale grey mantle, pink orbital ring, yellow bill. Recently recognised as a full species, split from the Herring Gull complex. Omnivore; forages at inland lakes and coastal estuaries.

Andean Gull

Largely insectivore, following cattle or foraging at lake edges. Partial altitudinal migrant descending to Pacific and Atlantic coasts in winter.
