The Bar-bellied Pitta is a colorful ground-dwelling bird of the family Pittidae found in forests of Vietnam and southern China. Weighing about 91g with a wingspan of 20.4cm, it has distinctive barred underparts and bright multicolored plumage. It forages on the forest floor for earthworms, snails, and insects.
