The Black-fronted Bushshrike is a colorful bushshrike with bright green upperparts, a yellow and red underside, and a distinctive black forehead and face. It inhabits dense thickets, undergrowth, and forest edges in the miombo woodlands of east-central Africa, ranging from Kenya to Zimbabwe. It feeds on insects and small invertebrates, hunting from within dense cover and rarely venturing into the open.
Albertine Sooty Boubou
The Albertine Sooty Boubou is a uniformly dark boubou of the Malaconotidae family, weighing about 41 g with a wingspan near 17 cm. It is endemic to the montane forests of the Albertine Rift in Central Africa, where it forages stealthily through dense undergrowth.
