Australasian babblers; 5 species of medium-sized, noisy, cooperatively breeding birds in Australia and New Guinea. Resemble Old World babblers in behavior but are not closely related. Gregarious; live in family groups. Inhabit woodland, scrubland, and open forest. Build large, domed communal nests.
