Logrunners; 3 species endemic to eastern Australia and New Guinea. Unusual birds that use their stiff tail feathers as a prop while raking leaf litter with their feet to find invertebrates. Males and females differ in breast color. Inhabit rainforest and dense wet eucalypt forest floors.
