Crescentchests; 4 species of secretive, terrestrial birds found in South American dry forests and semi-arid scrub. Named for the distinctive black crescent marking on the breast. Walk through low dense vegetation. Related to tapaculos and discovered to be their own distinct family by molecular studies.
