Eastern Plantain-eater
A large turaco (50-55 cm) found in savanna and woodland across East and Central Africa. Grey-brown plumage with a shaggy crest and yellow bill. Frugivore of woodland trees. Named plantain-eater though diet consists mainly of wild fruits and berries.
Green Turaco
A medium-sized turaco (40-43 cm) found in forests and forest edges across West Africa from Senegal to Togo. Bright green plumage with crimson wing patches and a rounded green crest. Frugivore. One of the most widespread West African turacos.
