Heinrich's Nightjar

A medium Caprimulgidae nightjar (~104 g) endemic to the forest and forest-edge habitats of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Cryptically patterned brown-and-buff. Nocturnal insectivore; catches moths and beetles in aerial sallies. Little studied and rarely encountered in the field. Least Concern within its Sulawesi range.

Todd's Nightjar

A small Caprimulgidae nightjar (~37 g) of open woodland and savanna in Trinidad and the Llanos of Venezuela and Colombia. Cryptically patterned brown-and-buff; white throat mark visible. Nocturnal; calls persistently at night. Feeds on flying insects. Similar to Spot-tailed but distinguished by call and range. Least Concern.
