About These Birds
Black-crowned White-eye
The Black-crowned White-eye is a small, greenish white-eye found on several islands in the Philippines, Sulawesi region, and the Moluccas, with a distinctive black forehead and crown contrasting with yellowish-green body plumage. It inhabits forest canopy, forest edges, and gardens, feeding on nectar, small insects, and berries. Island subspecies show some variation in extent of the black crown.
