About These Birds
Black-browed Barbet
The Black-browed Barbet is a colorful, fruit-eating barbet of montane forests in Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra, with bright green plumage, a blue throat, and a distinctive black eyebrow. It inhabits the canopy of primary and tall secondary montane forests. It feeds primarily on figs and other small fruits, and excavates nest cavities in dead tree trunks.
