Der Annakolibri ist der häufigste Kolibri entlang der Pazifikküste und eine von nur drei Kolibriarten, die ganzjährig in den USA verweilen. Männchen zeigen spektakuläre Sturzflüge aus 40 Metern Höhe und fangen sich mit einem lauten, von den Schwanzfedern erzeugten Zwitschern ab. A small hermit hummingbird (9-10 cm) found from southern Mexico through Central America to Colombia and Peru. Striped throat, green upperparts, and rufous underparts with pale tail tips. Nectarivore of forest undergrowth and edges. One of the most widespread small hermits.
