Arfak Honeyeater

The Arfak Honeyeater is a medium-sized honeyeater from the Arfak Mountains of western New Guinea, weighing about 56 grams with a wingspan near 21 cm. It has bare, brightly colored facial skin typical of Melipotes honeyeaters, contrasting with its dark plumage. It forages for nectar and fruit in montane forest, often visiting flowering trees in groups.
