About These Birds
Balsas Screech-owl
The Balsas Screech-owl is a small owl found in dry forest and scrub in the Balsas River drainage of southwestern Mexico, weighing about 160.75g with a wingspan of 34.8cm. Like other screech-owls it is nocturnal and hunts insects, small vertebrates, and invertebrates. Its cryptic plumage provides excellent camouflage against tree bark.
Schnee-Eule
