Die Rauchschwalbe ist die am weitesten verbreitete Schwalbenart der Welt und legt eine der längsten Zugstrecken aller Singvögel zurück. Mandschurenstorch
Der Mandschurenstorch ist eine der am stärksten gefährdeten Storchenarten; in freier Wildbahn leben noch weniger als 3.000 Individuen. Einst war er in ganz Ostasien weit verbreitet, ging jedoch durch die Trockenlegung von Feuchtgebieten und den Einsatz von Pestiziden dramatisch zurück. Wiederansiedlungsprogramme in Japan und Korea konnten bemerkenswerte Erfolge erzielen.
