Bar-tailed Lark

The Bar-tailed Lark is a small lark of the family Alaudidae found in arid and semi-arid desert and stony plains from the Canary Islands and North Africa to Pakistan. Weighing about 18.75g with a wingspan of 18cm, it has sandy-brown plumage with a distinctive dark subterminal tail band. It feeds on seeds and insects on bare desert ground.
