The Black-headed Whistler is a robust whistler with a glossy black head and upper breast, white lower underparts, and olive-green to brown upperparts. It inhabits forests and forest edges on several islands in the Moluccas (Maluku Islands) of Indonesia. Like other whistlers, it feeds on large insects, small lizards, and berries, and is known for its loud, melodious songs.
