Slender-billed Curlew: 36–41 cm, critically endangered or possibly extinct curlew with fine bill, whitish rump, and dark heart-shaped flank-spots. Bred in Siberian bog forest; wintered around Mediterranean and Gulf. Last confirmed record 1994–95 Morocco. Population collapse due to hunting and wetland loss. CR (possibly EX).
