Über uns
The Brown Thornbill (<em>Acanthiza pusilla</em>) is a small insectivorous passerine in the family Acanthizidae, widely distributed across southeastern Australia, including Tasmania. Detailed plumage and behavioral descriptions of this species are limited in the available literature. It is associated with coastal and forested habitats, where it often forages close to the ground in dense shrubs and low vegetation. The species constructs a domed nest (DM type); clutch size typically ranges from 2 to 4 eggs, with incubation lasting 16–20 days and fledging at approximately 16 days. The Brown Thornbill is classified as Least Concern by the IUCN. Research indicates it is among the most commonly encountered thornbills in southeastern Australian forests and gardens.
